| In the BlitZ SBD-iColor boost controller, it graphs the boost curve. Here is what the boost curve is doing: 4000: 1.2 4500: 1.24 5000: 1.25 5500: 1.29 6000: 1.38 6500: 1.40 7000: 1.40 7500: 1.40 If you look at the dynochart:
This setup should produce peak torque around 4700RPM and then it will fall from there, however, the boost is still climbing from 1.2bar to 1.4bar after where peak torque should be, and this is causing the torque to make that dip and then rise back up before falling off again. It all comes down to how the boost controller was operating, which is why I have switched it over to AUTO mode and specified the boost pressure I want it to achieve. The controller has built in logic that has worked impressively well in the short ride home and the boost is coming up to 1.4bar by about 4300RPM and holding steady now.
